Yolanda Forgensi

Formerly of Elmira, age 99, passed away peacefully in Oxford NY on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Yolanda was born on Sept. 1, 1914 in Steubenville OH, a daughter of Thomas and Nancy (Palumisigia) Tarantelli. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Charles Forgensi in 1999 along with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Yolanda is survived by her daughter Barbara Augustine of Elmira; daughter and son-in-law Dolores and Dr. James Terzian of Vestal NY; grandchildren, Michael Augustine and Michelle Augustine, Attorney Susan Terzian and Dr. Jim Terzian; great grandson Chase Christian; several nieces and nephews. She had worked for the Elmira City School District for 25 years before retiring at the age of 83. Prior to that Yolanda and her husband were the owners and operators of the Imperial Hotel in Elmira. Yolanda's life revolved around her family. There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
