William Schiefen

William John Schiefen III Elmira: Age 57, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012, after many years of poor health. Bill was born in Elmira, September 20, 1955, a son of the late William J. and Elizabeth (Reidy) Schiefen. He is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Joan (Mark) Fraiser, Dripping Springs TX, Kathleen Ann Hass, Houston TX, Kara Jane Garza, Houston TX, Helen Patricia Schiefen, Elmira, brother David M. "Gus" Schiefen, Elmira; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bill lived in Houston TX for many years before moving back to Elmira in the early 1980's. He worked for Pudgies Pizza for almost 10 years before becoming ill. Never one to complain, Bill took his health issues in stride. Bill was a devout Catholic. He was also a generous person who loved his family and had a soft spot for all animals. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, on Monday, October 29, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow. Interment will take place at "high noon" at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
