Warren Walter McGee

Warren McGee passed away peacefully at Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Friday, December 5, 2025 with his wife of 54 years, Anne, at his side. He was born October 20, 1950 in Oneonta, NY, the son of the late William and Pauline McGee. Warren graduated from Waverly High School in 1968. After attending Grove City College in Pennsylvania, he served in the Navy from 1971-1977. During his time in the service, he was instrumental in building the computer system for the first nuclear powered cruiser. Upon discharge from the Navy, Warren worked in the Maryland/DC area as a computer technician for nearly 30 years. He retired in 2005 and relocated with his wife to Elmira.

Warren is survived by his wife Anne (Hartford), daughter Stacey Williams and her partner Michael Cooper, granddaughter Rachel Williams, sister Faith Ann Soule., sister-in-law Donna (Hartford) Smith and her husband Christopher. He is predeceased by his brother William, Jr. and brother-in-law Richard Soule.

Warren was known for his keen sense of humor and sharp wit. He will be sorely missed. 

Memorial services for the family are planned for a later time.
