Violet Loraine Frawley

Age 90, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her bedside on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Violet was born in Windber PA, daughter of Harry Alton Thomas and Katherine Mae (Bertram) Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband Edward A. Frawley and siblings, Katherine, Harry, Clarence, Cleo, and James.

Violet is survived by son Douglas A. Frawley and daughter Tracey A. Held, both of Elmira; sister Joyce Faust; grandchildren Brandon Frawley, Kayla Dunn, Nicole Niles, Christopher Russell, Zachary Frawley, Skyla Savey and Edwin Keagle; several nieces and nephews. Violet had been a long-time communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Elmira where she had worked for many years as the rectory cook.

Family and friends are invited to attend Violet’s Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin St., Elmira NY, on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery at a later date.
