Veronica Haddad

Veronica A. (McKernan) Haddad "Ronnie" Elmira: Age 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Ronnie was born in Laddsburg PA on August 4, 1938, daughter of the late Gerard P. and Marjorie Zurn McKernan. She is survived by her husband Albert Haddad; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis B. and Maureen McKernan of Pine City, Gerard P. Jr. and Paula McKernan of Laddsburg; nieces and nephews, Dennis Patrick McKernan (with Michelle Potrzebowski), Elmira, Elizabeth (Anthony) Corradi, Albany NY, Amber (Martin) Meils, Redwood CA, Patrick (Vickie) Lynch, Elmira; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Elma Haddad, Horseheads, Samara Lynch, Elmira; several great nieces and nephews. Ronnie was a 1956 graduate of EFA and Arnot Ogden School of Radiology. She started her career at the hospital and after a few years she was promoted to Director of Radiology serving in that position for many years. Ronnie was a long time communicant of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed and spent a great deal of her free time knitting and cooking. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Donations in Ronnie's memory may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
