Age 38, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  He was predeceased by his mother Alice Jurusik Kane; maternal grandparents Don and Mary Hintz Jurusik; and paternal grandfather Patrick D. Kane Sr.  Tom is survived by his father Patrick D. “Pete” Kane Jr. with wife Susan L. of South Corning; brother Matthew M. Kane with wife Yuriko of Oak Harbor WA and their children Liam M. and Lila E. Kane; paternal grandmother Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Luce Kane of Horseheads; stepbrother Derek Canfield of South Corning; stepsister Gretchen Canfield with Nick Howe of South Corning and their children, Logan and Paige; aunts and uncles, Theresa and Joseph Duffy of Elmira with sons Kevin and Patrick … Patricia A. and Douglas Logan of Maryland with children, Russell and Caitlin … Molly and Curt Bailey of Canandaigua NY ….. Katy and Mike Buckley of Big Flats with children Megan and Patrick … Liz Kane with Joseph McMahon of Canandaigua NY … Matt and Chrissie Kane of Towanda NY with children Kathie, Alex, Danny and Simon.

Tom was born and raised in Elmira.  He was an avid gamer and New York Giants football fan.  He enjoyed volunteering and spending time with family.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St. Elmira, on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon.  Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
