Thomas T. Connelly

Age 77 of Keuka Lake and Bradenton, Florida died unexpectedly September 13, 2024 at University of Rochester Medical Center. He was predeceased by parents Gordon and Mary K. Connelly and brother John Connelly. Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years Suzanne Jones Connelly; daughter and son-in-law Kathryn and Carmen Clark with their sons, Nicholas (Anna), Dylan, Luka; son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Heather Connelly with their son Tyler; sister- in- law Mary Ellen Russell; brother - in- law Richard Jones (Jamie); along with several nieces and nephews.

Tom was a 1965 graduate of EFA and 1969 graduate of Syracuse University. He retired from Hardinge, Inc in 2002. After a miraculous kidney transplant in 2005, Tom and Suzanne traveled the world; spent many wonderful hours at the many sporting events of their grandsons; and loved those family times at Keuka Lake, Tom’s favorite special place. He cherished his grandsons and their dogs, Diesel, Charlie, Roxy, Callie, and Bear!! Tom was very active in community service, but personally dedicated to helping so many through their journey to sobriety. He touched many lives.

We can’t believe we have to go on without our love, our Dad, our Poppy, and our friend.

Tom’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick s Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.
