Theresa Mary Beebe

June 19, 1926 — May 26, 2023

Age 96, passed away peacefully at the Chemung County Nursing Facility on Friday, May 26, 2023. She was born and raised in Elmira. Theresa was the daughter of Lloyd and Katherine Wisneski Corliss and was predeceased by her husband Kenneth R. Beebe.


Theresa is survived by her sons, Martin R. Beebe of Elmira Heights and Lawrence “Larry” L. Beebe of Elmira; daughter Nancy Coldiron of Horseheads; daughter and son-in-law Annette and Mike Cobb of Elmira; grandchildren, John Beebe of Winston-Salem NC, Kristina (Paul) Naples of Horseheads, Timothy (Robyn) Beebe of New York City, Patricia (Joseph) Leone of Rochester NY, Jared (Kristi) Coldiron of Horseheads, Justine (Matthew) Patterson and Brian Cobb both of Elmira; great grandchildren, John Beebe, Ashley and Sierra Naples, Camden and Morgan Coldiron, Anthony, Marco and Nico Leone, Mila and Dylan Beebe.


Theresa enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and doing crafts. She was a great lover of ice cream. Theresa had volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for many years. With her husband Ken, she loved to sail, and they were members of the Watkins Glen Yacht Club. They had several different boats on Seneca Lake over the years with each new boat being bigger than the previous one. Theresa and Ken would also take the boats to the canal at the top of Seneca Lake, and through the locks to travel on different bodies of water. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. Private services were held.
