Stacey Ann Buehler

April 8, 1960 — August 13, 2023

Stacey Ann Buehler, Age 63 passed away August 13, 2023. In Burton, OH, after a long, arduous and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in Elmira, daughter of the late Harry Joseph Buehler, Jr., and the late Alice Romanchuk Buehler. Survivors include brother David Peter Buehler, of Santa Fe, NM; companion, caretaker, and consort to the end James Sanders, of Burton, OH; daughters, Allison Lentz, of Mentor, OH, and Courtney Segulin, of Milford, NJ; and several grandchildren. Also survived by her aunt LaVerne Romanchuk Harlan, of Strongsville, OH ; cousins, James Harlan of Willoughby, OH, John Harlan of Parma, OH, Heidi Voss of Sacramento, CA and Peter Voss of San Diego, CA. Stacey grew up on West and Harris Hills, and attended school in Elmira Heights, graduating from Thomas A. Edison High School in 1978. After graduation, she attended Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH, later married and spent most of her life in Northeastern Ohio. A long-time employee of Progressive Insurance Company, she took early disability retirement and returned home to live in Elmira before moving back to Ohio several years before her death.

Stacey enjoyed dancing at Madame Halina’s School of Dance, sang in high school choirs but the thing that most people quickly became aware of was Stacey’s love of horses and all things equine. Stacey started riding at 8, got her first pony at 10, and thereafter a Morgan Horse, competing in 4-H and local horse shows in Hunter Jumper classes. Her equestrian and riding career was interrupted by marriage and daughters, Allison and Courtney. After that long break she picked up with Courtney, with whom she owned and showed a succession of Morgan Horses, competing in horse shows in Ohio and neighboring states.
