Shirley Semski

Elmira: passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Shirley was born January 22, 1934, daughter of Edith (Anderson) and Clifton Chadwick. She is predeceased by her sisters, Helene Taylor, Audrey Brown, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack Donovan, John and Joyce Semski, Donald and Annabelle Semski, Edwin and Vera Semski. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Robert M. Semski; sons, with their families, Robert and Evelyn Semski and daughters, Shannon (Sean Greene), Michelle and Sarah; Michael and Debbie Semski and children, Bryan (Michelle) and Andrea; Scott and LuAnn Semski and sons, Dylan and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Hailey Greene, Juliette and Leona Semski; sister Billie Donovan, Elmira; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Bob Novick, Elmira Heights; along with several nieces and nephews. Shirley lived for, laughed with, and loved her family dearly, spending many happy summers at the family cottage on Seneca Lake. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. A private burial will take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Shirley's family extends their sincere thanks to CareFirst for the wonderful care provided to Shirley over the last two months.
