Shirley passed away on November 17, 2024. She was born in Elmira, a daughter of the late Richard A. and Marlene (Darrow) Whitson. In addition to her parents, Shirley is predeceased by her son Jack C. Morrow II and sister-in-law Judy Ramondi. Shirley is survived by Jack C. Morrow, her loving husband of 50 years. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law Traci and Shawn Wood of Waterford ME; grandchildren, Cody Hefner, Danielle Samson, Luke Witham and Kara Lounsbury; great grandchildren, Ava Hefner, Harper and Rosemary Dresser, Catalina Jones; siblings, Marlene Drugg of Canastota NY, Kathy and Chris Brand of Lakeville PA, Sherry and Jack Morrison of Whitsett NC, Susan and Michael Burrell of Elmira NY, Shelly and Bill VanWagner of Cookeville TN, Jerry Darrow of Elmira NY, Michael Whitson of Elmira NY, George and Wendy Whitson of Wellsburg NY; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy And Rick Dana of Williamsburg VA, Robert and Debbie Dickinson of Longwood FL, Alan and Leonila Morrow of Jacksonville FL, Jeffrey and Missy Morrow of Chemung NY; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.




In earlier years Shirley was an avid bowler. She and Jack loved the Christmas season and would spend weeks decorating their house both inside and out. Most of all, she loved kids. Not just her own, but all kids. She and Jack would sit out in front of their home during the Christmas season, dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus to the delight of all who would stop and visit them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.




A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held at a later date.
