Sabrina Brown

Age 49, of Painted Post, NY passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at home. She was born on March 8, 1967, in Elmira, NY, a daughter of the late Francis Xavier "FX" and Suzanne Parkhill Brown. She is also predeceased by sister Alicia M. Brown. Sabrina is survived by her fiancé Gregory Young of Painted Post, NY; son and daughter-in-law 2nd Class Petty Officer Christopher and Lauren Kane of Hawaii; son Brian Kane with fiancée Megan Beschler of Elmira; sister and brother-in-law Katherine and Ed Hajduk with their daughter Olivia, of Apopka, FL; and many family friends. Sabrina worked for the Economic Opportunity Program for 20 years as a teacher and family advocate in the Chemung County area. She loved spending days on Keuka Lake with her family and friends and volunteering as a foster parent through Tanners Paws. Sabrina battled cancer and was an advocate for the Palliative Care Unit at Carefirst through Hospice and was a true inspiration for many people. Family and Friends are invited to the Elmira Elks Lodge #62, 300 East Gray Street, Elmira, on Saturday April 9,2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:0 0p.m., for a celebration of her life.
