Rosalie Colunio

Rosalie M. Colunio Elmira: Age 71, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Rosalie was born August 7, 1941, a daughter of Lena (Vegard) and Michael Saginario. She is survived by her husband Nicholas J. Colunio, with whom she would have celebrated 53 years of marriage in August; children, Nancy (Donald) Miller, Elmira, Barbara (Gina Unwin) Colunio, Elmira, Nicki (David) Tadder, Horseheads; grandchildren, Nicholas (Danielle) Mastrantonio, Carson Tadder; soon to be great granddaughter, Myla Mastrantonio; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Robert Bower, Horseheads; very special sister-in-law, Trina Wrigley, Elmira; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Colunio, Elmira, Charles and Carolyn Colunio, Montour Falls, James Colunio, Elmira; uncle and aunt Joseph and Betty Saginario, Elmira; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosalie and Nick owned and operated The Boar's Nest Tavern on Elmira's Southside for 25 years. She treasured the times spent with her family. Rosalie was a very giving person, putting others needs before her own. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be forever loved and remembered. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 9:15 a.m., followed by Rosalie's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
