Richard G. "Pags" Paganelli, 69, of Elmira, passed away on September 19, 2026, with his loving wife Tammy by his side.

He was born on March 20, 1957 in Elmira, the son of the late Nicholas R. and Lillian (Buckholtz) Paganelli.

Rick was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School.

After high school, Pags worked in the cafeteria at St. Joseph's Hospital. From there, he worked at Servomation, later at Lay's Chips and finally as a food distributor for Bridgford Foods.

He married Tammy Savona on July 10, 1981. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage before his passing.

In his spare time, Pags was an avid golfer. He loved NY sports teams, particularly the NY Yankees, NY Rangers, and NY Giants. He was a also dog lover, enjoying Sandy's company until they passed and now having Snickers to mourn his passing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Paganelli; goddaughter, Leann Erickson (Jeff Harris); several cousins and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Thursday, September 25, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin St., Elmira on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
