Peter Van Brunt

Peter Van Brunt, age 48, passed away, suddenly, on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Overland Park, Kansas. Peter was born and raised in Elmira, a son of Dick Van Brunt and the late Lindy (Murray) Van Brunt. In addition to his father, he is survived by daughters, Anna and Kate; siblings and their spouses, Rick and Jennifer Van Brunt of South Carolina, Mike and Jackie Van Brunt of Horseheads; nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Jillian, Leonard, Sarah, Kennedy, and Nathan; uncle Tom Murray of Elmira with wife Peg; aunt Kit Flanagan of Trumbull CT with husband Steve; along with several cousins.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W Water Street, Elmira, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. Graveside services will then take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
