Patricia Wigsten

Patricia Jovanelli Wigsten Horseheads: Age 80, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Patricia was born September 16, 1931 a daughter of the late Edwin and Suzanne (Vallelli) Jovanelli. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Alfred and Edwin, Jr. Jovanelli, sisters, Geraldine Westlake and Johanna Jovanelli. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 47 years David W. Wigsten; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret Perkins, Catherine and Henry Hughes, all of Elmira, Josephine Wigsten of Horseheads, and Joseph Baker of St. David's, PA along with several nieces and nephews. Patricia had worked as the Assistant Manager at the Chemung Canal Trust Co., Big Flats office, prior to moving to Ballston Spa, NY. In Ballston Spa she was the Executive Vice President for Powmat Gas Turbine Company. Upon retirement Patricia and David moved back to the area. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Sts., on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Elmira. Interment will take place Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
