Patricia A. Walker

Patricia sadly passed away at home on August 7, 2024 at the age of 81 following a brief battle with cancer. Patricia was surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Walker. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son, Lance P (Rebecca) Rohr; brothers George Harrington, David Beardsley, Clyde Beardsley, and Richard Beardsley.

She is survived by her children Steven Abano, Oakland CA; Sandra Schwickerath, Mesa AZ; Melissa (Edward) Ames, Fort Worth TX; Melanie Abano, San Francisco CA; Leslie Glende (Bryan), Rochester NY; Robin Walker, Buffalo NY; Kevin (Dawn) Walker, Elmira NY; Amber (Doug) Fredo, Elmira NY; Heather (Beth) McElligott, Elmira NY; Dickie Bernas, Elmira NY; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Patricia owned and operated Valley Cheesecake in Elmira, NY for many years. After retirement, she continued to bake for her friends and family. Patricia also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CareFirst, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post NY 14870, who provided amazing hospice care for Patricia and support for her family and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life with family will be scheduled at a future date.
