Patricia Turner

Gillett PA: Age 43, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, before departing to meet her Eternal Father. She is survived by her husband Richard "Turk" Turner, with whom she shared many wonderful and adventurous years together; two sons, Kaleb and Jacob; parents, Esther Mast of Winfield PA and Daniel Mast of Milton PA; brother Daniel Mast of Allenwood PA. Patty adored her husband and children. They were the center of her universe. Being a mother was the most important job to her. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching and many exciting trips with her family. Patty fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a nurse and worked many years in the healthcare field. She provided empathy and compassion to all her patients and was dedicated to help them recover. Patty is a 1989 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School, continuing her education at Geisinger School of Nursing receiving a degree as a Registered Nurse. She began her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit at Evangelical Community Hospital. Patty spent the last 19 years of her career at Arnot Ogden Medical Center serving many roles, until she was finally able to return to her passion of critical care in the Intensive Care Unit. Calling hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday July 21, 2014 at Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine City NY 14871. A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Bill Vallet will follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has established a scholarship fund for Richard and Patty's children. Contributions to the Turner Children Scholarship Fund are being handled by GLN Tax and Payroll, 221 W. Church Street, Suite 1, Elmira NY 14901.
