Patricia M. Mcmahon

Elmira: Age 91, passed away on December 11, 2023, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. A daughter of the late Ambrose V. and Catherine (Keigler) McMahon. Pat is survived by her brother, Reverend Bartholomew McMahon, OFM of Butler NJ; cousins, Peggy and Paul Saya of Ransomville NY, Joyce Monroe of Horseheads, Henry “Bud” and Cathy Hulser of Elmira; godson Scott Tolbert; along with extended family.

Pat was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1949, and Arnot Ogden School of Nursing. She started her career as a registered nurse with neurosurgeon Dr. Everett W. Corradini where she worked for 25 years and later worked for neurosurgeons, Drs. Garaza-Vale and Yancey. She then went to work with Elmira Orthopedic Associates from where she retired. Pat volunteered her time with the American Red Cross and was a member of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church, Ss. Peter and Paul Church and the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W Water Street, Elmira, on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. St. Patrick’s Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be directed to the American Red Cross, 11371 LPGA Drive, Corning NY, 14830.

The L.A.O.H. will meet at McInerny Funeral Home on Monday morning, at 10:30 a.m., to conduct a service for our sister Pat. Signed Patty Corcoran, President
