Patricia A. Howland

Age 90, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Pat was born in Elmira, a daughter of Julius A. and Rebecca C. (Donovan) Weingart. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years James A. Howland, brother and sister-in-law Frances B. and Florence J. Weingart, brother-in-law John J. Petzke. Pat is survived by her son Daniel J. Howland of Elmira Heights; son and daughter-in-law Andrew J. and Lisa Howland of Berne NY with their daughters, Kimberly and Jodie; sister Mary M. Petzke of Elmira; several nieces and nephews.

Pat was a 1950 graduate of Elmira Catholic High School. She had worked at Chemung Canal Trust Company from 1950 to 1968 before starting her family. She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Committal prayers and burial will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
