Patricia Campanelli

Elmira: Age 77, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Pat was born in Elmira a daughter of the late Eleanor (Cunningham) and Michael L. Campanelli. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Delores "Dee" and Anthony, Sr. DeSocio of Elmira; niece Nanette DeSocio Finnell with husband Kevin of Batavia and children Allison of Boston, Patrick of San Francisco and Timothy of Boston; nephew Anthony DeSocio, Jr. with wife Michele of Elmira and children, Brittany DeSocio (Evan) Lloyd of Horseheads and Ryan DeSocio of Elmira; nephew Michael DeSocio, Sr. with wife Katie of Birmingham AL and children, Nicolette DeSocio (Jason) Kilgrow of Florence AL, Michael DeSocio, Jr. and Carson DeSocio both of Birmingham; great-great niece Gemma and great-great nephew Britton Lloyd; aunts, Rose Campanelli and Edie Campanelli both of Elmira; cousin Judy Campanelli of Elmira. Pat is a veteran of the U S Marine Corps. After leaving the military she worked for the Town of Quantico VA, and later at the Town of Dumfries VA where she was the Town Clerk and Clerk of the Court. After her retirement she returned to Elmira to be closer to her sister. Pat enjoyed sewing, restoring antiques and gardening. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at Woodlawn National Cemetery. Pat's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to her friends, caregivers and CareFirst for the devoted care of Pat over the last several months.
