Patricia A. Cahill

Age 81, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Patti was born in Corning NY, the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma (Ross) McUmber. She was predeceased by her first husband Samuel F. Cosentino; second husband Robert Cahill; brother Thomas McUmber; and sister Sally Crowl. Patti is survived by her sons, Thomas Cosentino .. Robert Cosentino with wife Beth and their children Leo Robert and Mae Ann … Phillip Cosentino; daughter Rosemarie Cosentino with her daughter Nicole Smith; great-granddaughter Nevaeh Hyman; sisters, Nancy (Kenneth) Swarthout; brother-in-law Ben Crowl.

Patti loved her family dearly and was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and was always up for a model rocket launch or cheering on a good sled ride. She thoroughly enjoyed playing golf, solving crossword puzzles, and completing complex jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid reader, was lovingly devoted to her dog, Molly, and found chores like snow-blowing her driveway to be "good exercise." Her life experiences gave her a down-to-earth sense of humor and an iron will that was undeterred by life's obstacles.

Family and friends are invited to call at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira, on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. A livestream of the Mass will be available through the Facebook page for Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish (https://www.facebook.com/ElmiraCatholic).
