Norman H. Ogden

Horseheads: Norman H. Ogden, age 85, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. Norman was born in Poughkeepsie NY a son of Clarence and Alice (Lowe) Ogden. He is survived by his wife Priscilla Elliott Ogden; children: Richard (Eva) Hunt of Biloxi MS, Thomas S. Hunt (Fran Arnott) of Landisville PA, Rae Ann Roberts of Dothan AL, Nicole H. Ogden (fiancé James H. Moore) of Manhattan; granddaughter Rachel Nicole Roberts; niece Diane (Tom) Moore of Waverly NY. His brothers, Art and Dick Ogden predeceased Norman. Norman was a graduate of Southside High School and a US Army veteran. During the 1970's Norman was a member of the South Creek Volunteer Fire Dept., in Gillett PA, where he was instrumental in establishing the South Creek Volunteer Ambulance Association. Through this Association members were provided EMT training. Norman was the retired director of the Salvation Army Halfway House in Elmira. He was a member of the Masons. Norman and Priscilla earned their Black Belts in karate and belonged to the Hidy Ochiai School of Karate. Those wishing may remember Norman with a donation to happytailsnokillanimalshelter.com.
