Monique Kane

Monique B. Kane Elmira: Age 78, died at her home Tuesday, November 9, 2010, with loving family members by her side. Monique was born June 8, 1932, a daughter of Louis and Aurelie (Marcotte) Bail. She is predeceased by her daughter Marcelle Kane Sadler and dear friend Harold "Cy" Thomas. Monique is survived by her sons, with their families, Jerome T. and Tina Kane of Elmira, with children, Mychal and Angelina, Dr. Timothy D. and Jennifer Kane of Washington, D.C. with children, Nicholas, Kelsey, Ryan, and Isabella; son-in-law Gary A. Sadler of Elmira with children, Adam, Andrew and Emily; sister and brother-in-law Marie and Fern Chabot of Auburn, ME; best friend Louise Lapple of Elmira; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A loving mother and grandmother, Monique was a retired seamstress. A native Mainer who settled in Elmira, and Vestal, to raise her family, Monique graduated from Seton Hill College, Greensburg, PA in 1954. There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, for Monique, on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at St. Patrick's Church at 11:00 a.m.
