Michelina Mckaig

Marge Age 85 passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Marge was born in Elmira, a daughter of Lucian and Laura (Viglione) Girardi. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick J. McKaig; sister Angelina; brothers, Pasquale, Carmen, John, Lucian and Anthony; grandson Drew. Marge is survived by her children with their spouses, Laureen and John Lattin of Myrtle Beach SC, James and Melissa McKaig of Elmira, Frederick and MaryAnn McKaig of Elmira, Karen and Albert Smith of Spencer NY; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Judy Girardi; sister Mena Raub; sister-in-law Marilyn Girardi, all of Elmira; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Marge was a waitress for 30 years at several Elmira restaurants. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Woodlawn National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Marge with a donation to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 600 Roe Ave, Elmira NY 14905.
