Michael Charles Sheehe

Michael "Mike" Sheehe joined God in Heaven on Sunday, June 7th surrounded by loved ones at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Mike was born in Elmira on July 26, 1955, to Harry and Ethel Sheehe. He graduated from Southside High School in 1973 and attended Corning Community College. Mike worked for many years at B&C Photo. Later, he worked at the Arnot-Ogden Medical Center as a Medical Photographer where he met his future wife, Ginny. Mike and Ginny were married in 1985, sharing 41 years of marriage. Mike returned to school, attending SUNY Upstate in Syracuse where he earned his associate's degree in radiation therapy. He was then employed as a radiation therapist at the Falck Cancer Center in the Arnot-Ogden Medical Center. He then moved on to work at the Guthrie Corning Cancer Center giving compassionate care to the radiation therapy patients.

Mike was predeceased by his parents and his only sibling, Robert.

He is survived by his wife Ginny, many in-laws, and cousins.

Mike's many other interests included photography, travel, Elmira College hockey, and World War 2 history. He was a devote communicant of St. Mary's Church in Elmira.

Family and friends are invited to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 Franklin St, Elmira, NY 14904 on Saturday, June 20th for a time of visitation starting at 9:00, with Mass at 11:00.
