Michael Lowell Hollenbeck

May 4, 1947 — June 26, 2022

Age 75, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Mike was the son of Jesse and Theresa Palumbo Hollenbeck. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Theresa A. Wheeler. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Vicki L. Hollenbeck of Horseheads; son Marcus Hollenbeck of Horseheads and daughter Cheryl Hollenbeck of Quebec, Canada; grandchildren, Addyson, Preston and Charlie-Ann; brother and sister-in-law James and Margo Hollenbeck; sister and brother-in-law Marie and Dan Kniffen; special uncle Dick Hollenbeck; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mike attended Southside High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a union carpenter and retired from the New York State Department of Corrections. Mike enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 5:15 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held at Woodlawn National Cemetery on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mike's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester NY 14620 or the Chemung County Nursing Facility Activities, 103 Washington Street, Elmira NY 14901.
