Houston TX: Age 65, passed away after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Monday, March 29, 2021. Mike was born and raised in Elmira a son of the late John and Margaret Makovicth Donahue. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Michele and Terry Stoebner of Cypress TX, Andrea and Steve Tyrrell of Cranford NJ, Caitlyn and Ryan Zarella of Spring TX; grandchildren: Brandon, Claire, and Quinn Stoebner, Mackenzie and Cole Tyrrell, and Wyatt Michael Zarella, coming July 2021; Debbie Donahue, mother of his children and friend, of Houston; brothers: John Donahue, with husband Dr. Douglas McKane; Richard Donahue, all of Horseheads; godmother Theresa Van Keuren of Horseheads; along with many cousins. Mike graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1973 and the University of Rochester, School of Engineering in 1977. After graduation Mike went to work for Schlumberger Oil Service Company. He moved several times with his family as he was promoted. Mike earned his MBA from Southern Methodist University in 1987. In 1989 the family settled in Houston when Mike joined the oilfield service company, Western Atlas. Mike held many positions over the years, finishing his career as Director of E-Business for Baker Atlas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mike on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, at 10:30 a.m. A livestream of the Mass will be available through the Facebook page for Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish (https://www.facebook.com/ElmiraCatholic). Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
