Maureen E. Manning

Age 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Facility. Maureen was born and raised in Elmira, a daughter of the late Raymond and Rosemary (Thatcher) Manning. Maureen graduated from Marywood University in Scranton PA. For 30 years she was an LPN at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston MA. Maureen travelled extensively throughout the United States, England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. She enjoyed both water-color painting and quilting. Maureen was very out going, making friends wherever she went. She was very close to her aunt Ruth Manning, who predeceased her; cousins, Johanne and Joe R. Miles; her cousin's wife, Carol Dalrymple (Bill dec'd) Miles; and dear friend Muriel Lewis, who all survive her. Maureen is also survived by her cousins, Joe (Jackie) Manning, Jim (Carol) Manning, Flossie (Chuck) Moffe, Kathleen (Robert dec'd) Train, Bill (Marilyn) Manning, Mary (Hal) Terry, Mary Alice (Fritz) Clark, Alice (Dan dec'd) Manning, Tom (Maxine) Manning, Mary Ellen (Bud dec'd) Miles, George (Haven) Miles, Marilyn (Dan Smith dec'd) Steane. She is also predeceased by cousins, Tim Manning and Anne (Jim) Burdick. Maureen was truly grateful to Mary Margaret Vosburgh and the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Facility. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Those wishing may remember Maureen with a donation to a charity of your choice.
