Matthew M. Augustyn, age 85, died peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2026. Mick, as his friends knew him, was born to the late Matthew C. and Michaline Augustyn April 10, 1941.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia as well as his son Daniel (Kristen), and grandchildren Lauren and Camryn. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Phinney; brothers-in-law John (lynne) Stager, William (Candi) Stager, Richard (Barbara) Stager, and Ronald Stager; several cousins and dear friends.

A carpenter by occupation, Mick was also a jack of all trades. He enjoyed learning all he could and loved using those skills to help those around him in any way possible. He would spend his free time reading history books, particularly books about World War II. He would also relax by listening to classical music and was particularly fond of Frédéric Chopin. Mick firmly believed honesty was the best policy, and this trait will be what those who knew him best will fondly remember him for.
