Age 93 of Elmira passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Bethany Manor. MaryAnn was born in Elmira, a daughter of the late John J. and Margaret (Gates) Semski. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Robert A. Novick, son, Robert J. Novick, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Shirley Semski, John and Joyce Semski, Donald and Annabelle Semski, Edwin and Vera Semski. MaryAnn is survived by her children, and their families, Allan R. Novick of Mississippi, with children, Yvonne Gatti, Charity (Mark) Seibert, and Heather Novick; Gary A. Novick and wife Deborah of Elmira, with children, Melody (Charles) Blake, Kimberly (Michael) Villie and Adam (Christie) Novick; John T. Novick and husband David of Elmira Heights, with children, Lynette (Patrick) Larabee, Margaret (Chris) Novick-Osiecki, Rachel (Joel) Baumgardner, and Kathryn (Joseph) Cummings; 24 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. MaryAnn and her husband Robert owned and operated MaryAnntiques located in Elmira Heights. She was very strong in her Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. MaryAnn is finally home with the love of her life who she adored dearly. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 8:45 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, Elmira. A livestream of the Mass will be available through the Facebook page for Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish (https://www.facebook.com/ElmiraCatholic). Interment, with committal prayers will then take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
