Age 92, of Batavia, and formerly Elmira, passed away on October 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren. Known to many as "No-No", she will be remembered for being the life of a party, a great teaser, and a music lover. She has left a handprint on all of our hearts and memories to last a lifetime. Mary Jane was born in Elmira on October 20, 1924, the youngest of five children to the late Mortimer and Mary Meade. In addition to her parents, Mary Jane is predeceased by her siblings; Catherine, Mortimer, George and Madeline; her husband Ray C. Keenan; and special nephew Dennis J. Sweeney. She is survived by her daughter Deborah (John Peca) Murray of Batavia and son Cal (Jean) Keenan of Elmira; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jerry) Sloan, Kati Murray, Justin (Steffanie) Murray, Chad (Kearston) Keenan and Megan (Justin) Bayer; 10 great grandchildren, Kennedy and Riley Sloan, Gage and Grant Murray, Paxton Murray, Caitlin and Finn Keenan and Rosie, Julia, and Joey Bayer; along with many beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Calling hours will be held at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St. Elmira, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, October 12, 2017, there will be a 9:15 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., St. Mary's Church, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will then take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
