Mary Cleveland

"Meg" Age 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2017 on her 65th birthday. Meg was born in Elmira a daughter of the late Harry D., Jr. and Mary (Schiefen) Backer. She is also predeceased by her husband Roy L. Cleveland and brother John Backer. Meg is survived by her step-children, Cara, R.J. (Lynne) and Damien (Kristen) Cleveland, with their children; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Diane Backer, Dennis and Marcie Backer, Danny and Gina Backer; brother-in-law Terry Cleveland; several nieces and nephews. Also survivng are her second family, Phil Gush, Sandi Reese and all of her good friends at Gush's Thirsty Bear and Roundin' Third. Meg was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., Woodlawn National Cemetery.
