Age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 10, 2022 due to a brief illness. Mark was born in Elmira, a son of the late Samuel "Sam" L. Trifoso and Nancie (Ermold) Trifoso. He is survived by his loving wife Joan Dimon Trifoso; daughter Catherine "Katie" Trifoso of Corning; brother and sister-in-law Samuel L. III and Lawana Trifoso of Sugar Hill GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nancy and James Henry of North Andover MA; nephew Samuel "Sam" IV and Linda Trifoso and nieces, Meredith and Danny Diaz with sons, Tristan and Evan…Jessica (Jason) Walburn with son Watson …Sarah Henry and Jennifer Henry.
Mark was a 1974 graduate of Elmira Free Academy. He continued his education at RIT in Rochester earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mark was currently working as a Regional Quality Manager for Ardagh Group.
Mark enjoyed playing golf and spending time at the casino. He also enjoyed sports; baseball and football. He was a die-hard Yankee fan and his favorite football team was the New England Patriots. He truly loved and cherished his family.
Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
