Marilyn Besley

Marilyn Heher Lynch Besley Elmira: Age 89, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Marilyn was born March 13, 1923, a daughter of John and Regina (Conroy) Heher. She is predeceased by her husband Lester Belsey, brother Vincent Heher, sisters, Virginia Lynch and Kathryn Cannon. Marilyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Lynch, Asheville, NC; Regina and Russ Hanson, Bradenton FL; Syliva and Robert Devitt, Elmira; Susan and Michael Kratochvil, West Milford NJ; Mary Claire Vesneske, Elmira; Kathryn Lynch, Elmira; brother John Heher, Trumbull CT; sister-in-law Eleanor Heher Flynn, Elmira; former son-in-law Tom Vesneske, Elmira; grandchildren, Kenny, Debbie (Doug), Jeff, Jill (D.J.), Julie, R.J. (Melanie), Anthony (Mellisa), Jason, Christopher (Stacey), Kevin, Brian (Monika), and Sarah (Matt); 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A life long resident of Elmira, Marilyn was a stay at home mom raising her six daughters. After the girls were grown Marilyn went to work at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center from where she retired. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Marilyn enjoyed taking care of her home, doing projects big and small. Time spent with her family was most important to her….she will be missed. Friends are invited to Marilyn's Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
