Margaret Emanuel

Elmira: Age 83, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Margaret was born in Elmira on October 29, 1930, daughter of Ernest and Gladys (Howard) Collins. She was predeceased by daughter Brenda Leisenring, son Brian Leisenring and grandson Cory Leisenring. Margaret is survived by her children with their spouses, Robert and Cathy Leisenring, Peggy and Larry Comereski, Pamela Leisenring, Bruce and Wanda Leisenring, Paul and Ann Leisenring, Barbara and Mark Hillman, Slade Leisenring; brother Edward Collins; special sister-in-law Grace Collins; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Margaret was a person who was always there for other people. In earlier years she worked as a matron at the Chemung County Jail. She later opened her home as a family care provider for the Elmira Psychicatric Center. Margaret's greatest love was her family and the time spent with them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Private family services will be held at McInerny Funeral Home 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
