Loretta Varco

Loretta S. Varco Elmira: Age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015. Loretta was born November 25, 1942 in Batavia NY, a daughter of the late Florence (Gullo) and Joseph Varco. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-law, Joanne Way, Providence and Gerry Willis. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Catherine A. "Kaye" and Donald Holtz of Pine City; brother-in-law George Way; nieces, Karen Holloway,with husband Donald, Cathy Crawford, Lisa Sprague, with husband John, Jeanine Vendetta, Christa Palmer, with husband Doug, Laura Lewis, with husband Charles; nephew Stephen Willis; along with many cousins. Loretta was raised in Batavia, living there for most of her life. She moved to Elmira 15 years ago, with her mother, to be closer to Kaye and Don. Loretta enjoyed the independence of her own apartment at Flannery Towers and spending Sunday's with Kaye and Don at their home. Loretta liked to watch television, be on her computer and take care of her cat, Samantha. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., St. Mary's Church, Elmira. Loretta will be laid to rest, with her parents, at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Batavia.
