Loranca Padgett

Padgett, Loranca G. Age 81, of Elmira passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Loranca was born in Hornell NY on July 3, 1933, a daughter of the late William F. and Marie (Hartwick) Gillette. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Gillette and brother, Edward Gillette. Loranca is survived by her husband of 60 years, DeGrove T. Padgett; daughter, Susan M. Padgett and son, Daniel W. Padgett both of Elmira. Also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Duane and Catherine Padgett, David and Letha Padgett, and Sandra May all of Elmira; several nieces and nephews; special friends, David and Sis Shoemaker, Mary Kay Guzylak, Susan Brock and Betsy Hilfiger. Loranca retired as a registered nurse from the Arnot Ogden Medical Center with 35 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:15 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Loranca's memory may be directed to the Ginny Hilfiger Memorial Scholarship Fund, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira NY 14905 or Nurses House Inc. c/o The Veronica M.
