Kim Dinardo Leszyk

Age 57, passed away at Corning Hospital on Monday, March 20, 2023. Kim was born and raised in Elmira, daughter to the late Joseph V. and Kum "Kim" DiNardo. She is survived by her daughter Emily Leszyk; son Ryan Leszyk; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Rebecca DiNardo of Mount Airy MD with their daughters, Katie, Angela and Madeline; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Thomas Guenther of Rochester NY; former husband and friend Matthew Leszyk of Corning; many extended family members.

Kim was a 1983 graduate of Elmira Free Academy. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Elmira College and Master's Degree from Marywood University. Kim loved her 30-year career as a social worker, therapist, and counselor with the Elmira City School District. She took great joy in helping children at many different schools, and levels, within the district. Kim was an avid runner, enjoyed shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Kim cherished the trips she was able to take with Emily and Ryan, the two most important people in her life. Their academic achievements made Kim feel so blessed.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:30. Private family burial will be held at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery where Kim will be buried with her parents. Kim wanted to offer a special thank you to Deacon Joe Erway for the spiritual support he has given to her during her illness.
