Age 90, passed away peacefully at Woodbrook Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born October 29, 1926 in Elmira, New York, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Donahue Reidy. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years John B. "Dutch" Wilmot, great grandson Samuel Michael Rundell, sisters and brother-in-laws Mary and William Rauch, Jean and James Sullivan, sister-in-law Clare Reidy and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Edna and John Cassidy. She is survived by her loving family, all of Elmira, son, J. Timothy Wilmot, daughters and son-in-laws, Corinne (Michael) McCarty, Kathleen Webster, Mary Jo (Thomas) Webster, Julie (Robert) Kramarik and Suzanne (Michael) Rundell; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and brother Thomas Reidy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Kay will be fondly remembered for her wit and devotion to her family. Her unwavering faith was the driving force that carried her through all the days of her life and remains her legacy to her children and grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Woodbrook and CareFirst for the compassionate care that Kay received in her final days.
