**In Loving Memory of Kathleen "Kathy" Madigan**

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Kathleen "Kathy" Madigan on Sunday, July 21st. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Christine Madigan, and her sister, Margaret (Peggy) Madigan.

She is survived by her loving brother John Madigan and his wife Mary, her cherished niece Kylie Madigan and her partner Cj Lee, her chosen sister Joanne Yeager, and cousins.

Kathy enjoyed a successful career, retiring from Verizon before dedicating her time to nurturing young minds as a teacher's aide for the Elmira City School District. Known for her vibrant personality and caring nature, Kathy was a beloved friend to many. She took great pleasure in baking delicious homemade treats, including her famous cheesecake and chocolate walnut brownies, for the special people in her life.

Kathy's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, including her favorite furry companions, her brother's dogs Jack and Bennie, and her niece's dog Ziggy.

Kathy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Kathy on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 10:00 a.m., St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, Elmira.
