Age 56, passed away at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Kathy was born in Elmira NY, daughter of the late Gerald and Gladys (Potter) Lewis. She is also predeceased by her sister Barbara Khan. Kathy is survived by her loving husband Richard C. "Ric" Campbell; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Travis Degarmo of Daggett PA and their children, Tyler Hoffman, Lauren and Rylan Degarmo; siblings and their spouses, Linda and Lou Spaziani, Gerald "Buddy" Lewis, Jr., Sister Rita Lewis R.S.M., Karen and Michael Rupp, Joseph and Michelle Lewis, Sheila and Greg McGrain; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Susan and David Randall; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was a graduate of Corning Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. After health issues prevented Kathy from doing nursing work she went back to school at Mansfield University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in social work so she could continue helping others. She was a selfless person, always putting others ahead of herself. Kathy was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Kathy loved to collect angel statues and figurines. She was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Kathy's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira on Saturday, September 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. Officers and members of the L.A.O.H. will meet at the McInerny Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. to conduct a service for our departed sister, Kathy. Signed Mary Ellen Allington, president.
