Age 81, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Wellsville, NY on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Karen was a committed member of the Kingdom Hall in Elmira, NY. Spending many hours a day studying the Bible and living in the way of Jehovah, Karen was prepared to join the New World. She loved her family very much and enjoyed watching all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Karen passed knowing that she had done all that she could to be a good friend, mother, and grandmother and that she is loved very much by her family and friends.
Karen was born in New York City, a daughter of the late William R. and Kathleen Conway Young. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Theodore Truskolaski and daughter Bernadette Truskolaski. Karen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Roger Elias of Wellsville, NY, with their children, Seth (Amy) Kehr, Sarah (David) Johnson, Caitlin and Abigail Elias; son Michael Truskolaski of Corning, NY with his children, Ethan and Anna Truskolaski; great-grandchildren, Averyanna Kehr, Jerimiah Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Isaiah Johnson, Evie Diederich, and Dylan Kehr; siblings, Robert W. Young of Lancaster, PA, Donna L. (Joseph) Marino of Tinton Falls, NJ, Kathy (Michael) Clark of Florida and Kevin (Darlene) Young of Lancaster, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Karen's burial service will take place on Friday, May 17, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Karen's life held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 708 Lena Place, Elmira. All are invited.
