Judd Sullivan

Horseheads: Age 76, passed away at his home, with his loving family by his side, on Monday, June 15, 2015. Judd was born July 11, 1938 in Elmira, the son of the late William R. and Shirley (Cooper) Sullivan. Judd is survived by his wife Marcia Richardson Sullivan, with whom he would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on July 19th; children, with their spouses, Kathleen M. and Patrick Shappee of Horseheads, Judd C., Jr. and Donna Sullivan of Erin, James D. III and Christine Sullivan of Horseheads, Tara L. Edwards of Cornelius NC, and Patrick K. Sullivan of Elmira; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister Cynthia Kieffer of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law James D. II and Glenda Sullivan of Savannah TN; half-sister Suzie (Spencer) Bloomer of Mooresville NC; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gloria and Stephen Costello of Elmira; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ron and Jan Richardson of Tigard OR; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Judd was a U S Marine Corps veteran. He was a brick layer and concrete finisher for many years, working for several local contractors. Judd later went to work as a NYS Correction Officer, retiring after 28 years of service. In his earlier years Judd enjoyed hunting and fishing. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Judd's Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2015, 10:00 a.m., St. Patrick's Church, Elmira.
