Joseph Fredo

Elmira: Age 89, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 15, 2016. Joe was born in Watkins Glen NY, a son of Joseph P. and Alice Coluche Fredo. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Drabinski Fredo. They were married in Blossburg PA on November 30, 1946. Joe is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Rocco A. and Gwen Fredo of Keuka Lake; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nephew Christopher Fredo. Joe was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked for many years with the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and then for New York State from where he retired. Joe was a member of the V.F.W. and a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish. Private family services will be held. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
