Jonathan Walker Wilson

Jonathan Wilson died Thursday January 11, 2024, in Elmira, NY. He was a resident of Elmira for the past 8 years and had been battling lung cancer. Jon was born in Greenville SC on May 18, 1972, later moving with family to Smyrna, Georgia where he attended Wills HS.

Surviving him are his parents Bill and Olga Wilson of Zachary, Louisiana, sister Cynthia Harrison of Baton Rouge, nephews Ricky, Robby & Rossie Harrison, and Tyler Bowen. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hamilton Wilson. Interment and services will be held at a later date.

Jon was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Generous, creative, funny, and intelligent with an infectious laugh. He was proud of his Mensa membership and of his time studying at Embry-Riddle. He was a voracious reader, amateur physicist and creator of cuisine. Jon never met a stranger and was a friend to all he encountered.
