John Ward Wenzel

passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020, after an extended illness, at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by his loving family. John was born December 10, 1949 to John P. and Helen Ward Wenzel, who pre-deceased him. John is survived by his sister Jude (David) Squires; nephews, Mark (Kelly) Squires, David (Jennifer) Squires; grand-nephew and grand-nieces, Mason, Lauren, Griffin and Abbey Squires. John graduated from Lakemont Academy in 1968. He honorably served in the Army Reserves for six years. John Retired from Wenzel Contracting after many years of employment. He was also a member of #1358 Labors Union. The family would like to thank the Chemung County Nursing facility for the wonderful care given to John. There will be no calling hours at this time. There will be a Memorial Service in the Spring at the family's convenience.
