John Lagonegro

Elmira: Age 53, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Jack was born in Elmira on February 8, 1961 a son of the late Richard J. and Betty Cloke Lagonegro. He is survived by his wife, and companion of 18 years, Vicki McGuirk Lagonegro. Also surviving are his sons, Jeremy Lagonegro, Pine City, with his son Jadon; Dustin Lagonegro, U S Navy serving in Japan; stepchildren, Christopher Brand, Endicott, Lorissa Brand, Elmira, Loralei Corbett, Elmira; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ginny and Lou Andrus, Horseheads, Patty Cassada, Alpine NY, Diane and Mark Marcus, West Henrietta NY, Clare and Doug Williams, Horseheads, Marilyn and Jim Ripley, Pine City, Bev and Mike McDonald, Elmira; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Mindy Lagonegro, Elmira; uncle Joseph E. Lagonegro, Elmira; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and canine companion Shilo. In addition to his parents Jack is predeceased by his brother-in-law David Cassada. Jack was a U S Navy veteran serving from 1981 to 1984. He was a member of the Horseheads American Legion Post #442 and the Men's Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign War Post #6083. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. Committal prayers, with military honors, will be held at Woodlawn National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
