Jane Rhoades

December 27, 1919 — November 21, 2015

Age 95, passed away peacefully at the Chemung County Nursing Facility on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Jane was the daughter of James A. and Rena (Smith) Campbell. She was predeceased by her first husband James F. Moylan, second husband Harold C. Rhoades, son James J. "Barney" Moylan and step daughter Marjorie Pitts. Jane is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Donald Wilber of Elmira; step daughters and step sons-in-law, Joanne and Peter Cambio of Cheektowaga NY, Betty Jane and Joseph Bednarek of Chesterfield MI, Barbara Moylan of Pine City; grandchildren, Cary (Michael) McLaughlin, Christopher (Shannon) Moylan, Peter Cambio, Richard Cambio, Anthony Cambio, Christine Cambio, Susan Thiesen, James and Charles Pitts, Rebecca A'Hearn, Linda Thompkins, Kelly Shields; 23 great grandchildren. Jane was a retired secretary from the Elmira City School District. She enjoyed reminiscing about growing up on Keuka Lake with her Uncle Lou, Aunt Barb, and cousins Gayle and John Loban. Jane was a kind, gentle and caring person. She will always be remembered for making and delivering homemade cakes, pies and cookies to her family and friends. Jane's greatest joys were spending time with her family and playing golf with her friends. Private services will be held. Jane's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staffs at Woodbrook and Chemung County Nursing Facility for the wonderful and loving care provided to Jane over the past several years. Donations in Jane's memory may be directed to the National Parkinson Foundation, PO Box 5018 Hagerstown MD 21741-5018.
