James Walker

Age 78, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. Jim was born September 17, 1936, a son of James H. and Myrtle (Clark) Walker. He is predeceased by his wife Barbara (Martin) Walker, son-in-law Gale Weller, brother Robert Walker, sister Doris Talada and brother-in-law Robert Brown. Jim is survived by his daughter Connie M. Weller of Erin; son and daughter-in-law Wayne E. and Della S. Walker of Erin; grandson Jeff Walker and wife Lindsay of Dagus Mines PA; brother and sister-in-law Earl and Patricia Walker of Gillett PA; sister and brother-in-law Ruth and George Dinsmore of Tennessee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alfred and Jeanne Martin of Wellsburg, Virginia Walker of Liverpool NY, Dolores Brown of North Chemung; along with several nieces and nephews. Jim was a Master Carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors and the great times spent with his family. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 5:15 p.m. A private interment will take place at North Chemung Cemetery.
